Arsene Wenger finally gets his man. Moroccan on his way to the Emirates.
Arsene Wenger is finally set to seal the deal to bring Bordeaux’s contract rebel to the Emirates. After much speculation the Moroccan international is ready to sign a deal said to be worth £12m over four years. The 26 year old striker has helped Laurent Blanc’s side to the Champions League Quarter Finals and to top spot in Ligue 1.
Many have long expected the well built French born forward to run out his contract at the Stade Chaban Delmas and a number of interested parties have said to be chasing his signature with Real Madrid, Liverpool and West Ham all linked with a move for Chamakh at some time over the past 18 months.
Rather than letting his impending departure affect his game Marouane has had his best season yet in terms of goalscoring, netting 14 goals in all competitions. The Bordeaux man will add more attacking talent to a side who due to a worrying injury crisis earlier in the season were left to play players out of position.
However that being said Arsene Wenger still has the likes of Robin Van Persie, Eduardo, Nicklas Bendtner and Carlos Vela to turn to and the summer signing may find it hard to fight for his place in the Emirates starting line-up.
