Emirates defender could be in trouble after his representative makes some very worrying statements.
Arsenal full back Bacary Sagna will attempt to force a move away from the Emirates this summer so that he can sign for Serie A champions Inter Milan. The highly rated full back has seemingly let his agent do the talking and in true troublesome fashion his representative makes statements that will surely anger Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
Sagna’s agent, Christophe Mongal, had this to say on the matter.
“Inter officials have not made any official offer for Sagna, but we spoke. It was an informal meeting.
I personally think that Sagna could be a realistic option for Inter if Maicon leaves at the end of the season.
I could speak with Inter again then, who knows.
Anyway, I would like to stress on the fact that Sagna is happy in London and enjoys playing for Arsenal. Obviously that does not mean he is staying for sure because football is business in the end.” (Various)
The £16m right back had similar problems when his agent made claims such as these in relation to reported interest in his client from Real Madrid a while back but that was nipped in the bud and indeed the French international tried to distance himself from the mess Mongal had placed him in, but now he’s at it again.
If the talented 27 year old wants to avoid getting in trouble with the gaffer then he may once again want to distance himself from his agent’s comments which could land him in hot water
