Sir Alex Ferguson ready to cut his losses on Old Trafford flop.
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are ready to bid big to snap up Manchester United’s troubled forward Dimitar Berbatov. Louis Van Gaal looks to be interested in the former Tottenham man and is said to see the 29 year old as a potential addition to his Allianz Arena side and a move for the misfiring Old Trafford man will become even more likely should they fail to keep hold of Franck Ribery this summer.
Sir Alex Ferguson is said to have run out of patience with Berbatov who has struggled to make an impact at Man United since his big money move to the club in September 2008. The former Bayer Leverkusen man has looked even more of a failure when called upon to lead the line at the Premier League champions and Van Gaal is ready to end his troubled time at the club.
Ferguson will be looking to recoup a large chunk of the original £30.75m fee paid for Berbatov’s services but is apparently set to accept offers of around £20m rather than continue to put up with Dimitar’s decidedly average performances.
Berbatov has managed just 26 goals in his 83 appearnaces for the club and Sir Alex is ready to offload the Bulgarian international and re-invest the cash in finding an effective goalscoring option to prolific England man Wayne Rooney.
