Football - Everton v Manchester United FA Cup Semi Final

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to offload faltering keeper Ben Foster and Birmingham City have emerged as the most likely to snap up the England international.

27 year old keeper Foster has failed to convince his Old Trafford manager of his ability to take over from veteran Edwin Van der Sar and the former Stoke City man is ready to leave the club in order to get a first team spot and maintain his push to become England’s number one.

Birmingham City are hoping to persuade Man City to allow them to take Joe Hart on another season long loan next term but if they fail to seal that deal then they will attempt to complete a £6m bid for Foster who is also targeted by his former Potters side as well as Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland.
