Carlos Tevez has proven a few people very wrong this season and perhaps highest among those doubters would be Sir Alex Ferguson who may well have been better off keeping the Argentine international rather than persisting with Dimitar Berbatov such has been his success at Man City since his summer move and he is set to lead the line at the World Cup during what is surely the peak of his career to date.

To date Tevez has struggled to make an impact on international duty and his return of just eight goals in 51 appearances is indeed disappointing but do not be surprised if he continues his good form in South Africa.
