Emirates plays host to Roberto Mancini’s Champions League chasers.
Both Arsenal and Manchester City were handed hefty blows last weekend when last gasp goals severely dented both sides hopes for tangible success from their Premier League campaigns. Arsene Wenger watched on as Wigan came from two goals down to embarrass the Gunners at the DW whereas Roberto Mancini could only curse his luck as his side lost to an injury time header from Paul Scholes in the Manchester derby.
The Gunners boss has all but given up hopes of a Premier League title now but will surely want to finish the season on a high before a summer of apparent buying and selling kicks in. City need to keep the pressure on Tottenham and will at least know just how crucial points at the Emirates will be as Spurs would have played United earlier in the day.
Clearly all eyes will also be on Emmanuel Adebayor who will be facing his former club on opposing territory and will no doubt come in for some abuse, not least for his behaviour when these two side met earlier in the season.
Here are some highlights of battles past.
