Brazilian clearly wants Old Trafford move.
BRAZIL star Luis Fabiano has issued a remarkable plea to Manchester United to sign him this summer.
With Sir Alex Ferguson in the market for a striker, £15million-rated Fabiano claims he would not fail to deliver goals for United because of the service he would receive at Old Trafford.
Fabiano, 29, has 90 goals from 187 games for Sevilla but, with only a year left on his contract, he is ready for a move. And his stock could rise if he shines at the World Cup.
He said: “If you are asking me what team I most admire it is Manchester United. If you play under Sir Alex Ferguson then you are probably going to win a title or another major trophy.” (The Express)
Sir Alex Ferguson is known to be an admirer of Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano and these carefully timed words from the Sevilla man will surely not have gone unnoticed. Manchester United could do with another striking option to help share the burden with Wayne Rooney and with Dimitar Berbatov seemingly not able to do the job with any real success a number of attackers have been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
The 29 year old former Porto man has been in red hot form for both club and country and could be just what Fergie is looking for. 68 goals in his last three La Liga seasons have made him one of the most feared strikers in Spain and his 16 goals in his last 16 matches for Brazil have made him an automatic first choice for Dunga.
The temperamental forward has fallen out with a succession of bosses and teammates over the years but if there is one person capable of reining in just such a player its the wily Scot.
Wayne Rooney has provided a full third of Man United’s Premier League goals this term and without the former Everton man up front the club has struggled to hit the back of the net, as proven in recent matches against Wolves, Chelsea and Blackburn.
