White Hart Lane boss looking for yet more talented flair players.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, Tottenham are looking to sign Espanyol midfielder Javi Marquez .
The 23 year-old playmaker has become one of Espanyol’s most important players this season. Marquez is renowned for his excellent technique and long range shooting ability. At only 5ft 7in, he is a diminutive but very versatile midfielder, capable of playing in the centre of midfield, out wide or just behind the strikers. His style would be suitable for the free flowing midfield encouraged by Harry Redknapp at Tottenham.
Although he broke his leg in March, playing against Sevilla, Marquez is only expected to be sidelined for three months and should be fit for the start of next season.

Harry Redknapp is reportedly keen on adding more midfielders to his squad this summer but one would imagine that he had more than enough forward thinking players and was more likely to look for defensive midfielders but nonetheless this source suggests that Javi Marquez could be on his way to White Hart Lane.
The 23 year old took his while to break into the Espanyol first team having served a four year apprenticeship in the B side but in many ways he is the type of player that Redknapp has more than enough of. As a free floating player Marquez can play in a number of attacking roles and that adaptability may be what Harry has found worth making a move for.
That being said Tottenham already have an abundance of midfield flair with the likes of Niko Kranjcar, Luka Modric, Eidur Gudjohnsen, Aaron Lennon as well as the likes of much improved David Bentley. The north London side already have a pretty large squad so it seems likely Redknapp would be looking to offload some of his less important players before forking out for new additions.
