Sir Alex wants to bring Eastlands goalie to Old Trafford.
Manchester United boss is ready to make a cheeky move to capture Manchester City keeper Joe Hart. The England international has been in outstanding form whilst on loan at Birmingham this term and was named in the PFA team of the year, ahead of Eastlands first choice Shay Given.
Sir Alex Ferguson needs to find a long term replacement for veteran Edwin Van der Sar and has been linked with moves for a number of alternatives to current keepers Tomasz Kuszczak and Ben Foster including the likes of Artur Boruc, Rene Adler and Manuel Neuer.
Joe Hart is clearly a player with a bright future but knows that being behind Given in the pecking order could seriously damage his future career progression. St Andrews’ boss Alex McLeish would like to make a permanent move for the 23 year old but is unlikely to be able to stump up the £10m asking price.
Clearly the massive rivalry between the two Manchester outfits could negate the possibility of any such move being completed but then stranger things have happened.
