White Hart Lane boss ready to make cheeky move for Villa Park man.
Harry Redknapp is lining up a surprise bid for Aston Villa winger Ashley Young this summer. The Tottenham boss is hopeful that the allure or a potential Champions League spot, if indeed the White Hart Lane secures a top four finish, will act as an incentive to the England international.
The likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea have supposedly registered an interest in the former Watford man but suck talk of a move to either club may well not materialise and a move back to London may well interest the 24 year old.
Martin O’Neill is not likely to sanction any move for the £22m rated left sided player but that won’t stop all manner of teams looking to unsettle the player in the hopes that he may have his head turned by a move upwards. Arguably a move to Tottenham may well be considered more of a sideways move but at least Young would be able to ply his trade in the coveted European competition, something he is yet to experience.
Redknapp has been linked with a number of natural left sided players but Young is one of the best in the position in the Premier League and therefore the amount of interest in his services is not surprising.
