Eastlands boss ready to bid big for Hawthorns star in the making.
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is reportedly prepared to meet West Bromwich Albion’s asking price for their highly rated Scottish international midfielder Graham Dorrans. The Championship side has slapped a £12m valuation on the 22 year old former Livingston man in response to increasing interest in the talented Glasgow born youngster.
The Eastlands boss is happy to splash the cash on the Baggies man as he believes he has a great deal of potential and also meets the homegrown criteria set to be brought in by the Premier League. Roberto Di Matteo does not want to lose the free scoring midfielder but may not be able to prevent Dorrans from pushing for such a move if a bid is made.
The Hawthorns side paid just £150k for Graham Dorrans in the summer of 2008 and the diminutive midfielder has been in fine form this season netting 17 goals as well as being picked by his fellow professionals in the Championship team of the season at the PFA awards last weekend.
