Eastlands boss eyes up La Liga stars in audacious summer move.
Roberto Mancini is ready to spend big this summer and hopes to bring in a trio of Real Madrid talent this summer. The Manchester City boss is lining up moves for Lassana Diarra, Fernando Gago and Karim Benzema and will be backed up financially by the clubs money men as they set their sights on challenging for the Premier League title next term.
With much speculation around whether Mancini will still be in charge at Eastlands next season the Italian is looking to the future and has earmarked the Bernabeu trio as potential targets to help improve the club’s squad in readiness for next season.
The club’s owners are ready to once again dig deep to bring in the cream of the crop to the club and are willing to give Mancini another season to achieve their highly ambitious plans. The former Inter Milan manager believes the promise of regular first team football and a large pay packet will help persuade the La Liga threesome to make the move to the Premier League.
Lassana Diarra is also linked with moves to Manchester United and even a potential return to Stamford Bridge, Karim Benzema is a target for a number of sides who could tempt the Frenchman to end his nightmare start at the Spanish giants. Perhaps the most realistic target of the three is Argentine Fernando Gago who has started just 12 starts in all competitions this term.
