Harry Redknapp wants to bring Anfield bit part player to White Hart Lane.
Harry Redknapp is eying up a move for Liverpool’s utility man Yossi Benayoun as he looks to build up his White Hart Lane squad. The Tottenham boss hopes to persuade the former West Ham to move back down south to London in an effort to get more regular first team football.
Rafa Benitez has picked the 29 year old Israeli international in his starting eleven just 19 times out of 37 Premier League matches and the attacking midfielder is apparently losing his patience at Anfield. For the third season running Benayoun has struggled to convince his boss of his worth even though he is considered something of a cult hero by the clubs fines.
Even though the adaptable attacker has a knack of being in the right place at the right time and having the ability to make something out of nothing it appears that he is still not considered a vital part of the club’s first team plans. Manchester City and CSKA Moscow have also reportedly expressed an interest in signing the £9m rated player in the summer.
Harry Redknapp has stated previously that he is looking for even more strength in depth at the club and with a potential Champions League campaign to plan for one can see why a move for the talented midfielder would make a great deal of sense.
