Old Trafford boss lines up bid for impressive Serbian international.
Manchester United will attempt to snap up CSKA Moscow’s midfielder Milos Krasic before the World Cup kicks off next month. Sir Alex Ferguson is looking to capture the 25 year old after being suitability impressed by Krasic’s performances against his United side in the Champions League group stages.
The talented attacker is being touted as a long term replacement for veteran Paul Scholes and as an alternative to off form England international Michael Carrick. Ferguson believes he can persuade the Serbian international to end his seven year spell at the Moscow club, during which time he has collected all manner of medals and trophies including two Russian Premier League titles, three Russian Cup triumphs and a UEFA Cup winners medal.
Having seen CSKA Moscow fall to fifth place in the 2009 championship Krasic may feel its time to call an end to his time at the Luzhniki and he would surely jump at the chance to move to Old Trafford to join countryman Nemanja Vidic and after such a lengthy successful time at the club perhaps his side would accept his desire to move on?
Manchester United are of course heavily in debt but Sir Alex has been promised funds to improve his squad and a move for the £16m rated adaptable playmaker would indeed be a wise one.
