Emirates boss lines up big money bid for Belgian wonderkid.
Arsenal are readying a bid for Lille playmaker Eden Hazard and are hopeful they can come up with an offer that will be accepted by the Ligue 1 side. Arsene Wenger is keen on snapping up the Belgian international playmaker and will reportedly make an offer of around £11m for the teenager.
The 19 year old flair player has had an exceptional season and has been nominated for both the Ligue 1 Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year Awards after helping minnows Lille to second spot behind recently crowned champions Marseille.
The impish attacking midfielder has fought his way into the Lille first team and has been a virtual ever present member of Rudi Garcia’s starting eleven and has been linked with a move away from the Mastiffs and has previously been quoted as stating his desire to work under Arsene Wenger and the speculation linking the Emirates side with a move for Hazard has been prevalent for the best part of two years.
Even though the Gunners boss plans raids to bring in more established names to the club he still has an eye for bringing in the best youthful talent around so that he can hone and mould such players into household names and Eden Hazard could well be a big star of the future and one that Wenger clearly wants to snap up before someone else does.
