Arsenal are reportedly looking increasingly likely to finally snare long term Barcelona target Yaya Toure this summer. The players agent has recently stated that his client is unhappy at his inability to cement a place in the Nou Camp starting eleven and that the Ivory Coast international would be happy to make a move to the Emirates should his time at the Catalan giants come to a close.

Spanish starlet Sergio Busquets has been getting the lions share of Barca starts this term and has left Kolo’s younger brother wondering if he should stick around at the club after seeing Pepe Guardiola trust more to his youthful squad members this season.

Arsene Wenger is known to be a long term admirer of the former Monaco man has been consistently linked with a move for the 26 year old. It seems that Gunners fans would be very happy if a deal could be done to bring the £16m man to the Emirates this summer and he is seen by many as the perfect midfield foil for skipper Cesc Fabregas.

Most recently there has been talk of Yaya being used as bait to try to seal a deal to bring Fabregas back to Barcelona but that is a deal that is doomed to failure with Arsenal strongly opposed to any sale of their captain and it now appears far more likely that the north London side will make a straight cash offer for the defensive midfielder.
