White Hart Lane boss ready to hand Villa Park boss his pick of top notch talent.
Harry Redknapp is reportedly considering making a cheeky swap deal to land Aston Villa winger Ashley Young. The Tottenham boss is willing to offer the likes of Robbie Keane, Roman Pavlyuchenko or David Bentley as part of a deal to lure Martin O’Neill into accepting advances for the Villa Park wide man.
The White Hart Lane manager is keen to add even more creative talent to his Champions League bound squad and believes he can tempt the 24 year old England international into pushing for a move to the north London side. Redknapp knows that O’Neill is an admirer of both Keane and Bentley, two players the gruff boss has been linked with before.
After three successive sixth placed finishes it could be that Young would like a new challenge and has also been linked with moves to Chelsea and Manchester City but may be more interested in a move to Tottenham where arguably he could become a first team regular as Redknapp looks for natural width on both flanks.
O’Neill may also feel that Pavlyuchenko could work as a good foil for Gabriel Agbonlahor, something Emile Heskey has struggled to achieve.
