Goodison Park boss sets sights on Bosnian flair player.
David Moyes is rumoured to be interested in Wolfsburg playmaker Zvjezdan Misimovic and hopes to lure the Bosnian international from the Bundesliga side this summer. The Everton boss is looking to add more creativity to his midfield and is reportedly a big fan of the talented 28 year old.
Newly installed Wolfsburg boss Steve McClaren faces a fight to prevent his best players from leaving after a none too successful follow up season to the unexpected title success of 08/09. Edin Dzeko is set to leave the club and fellow countryman Misimovic could well be interested in trying his luck in the Premier League.
The assist machine has been one of the most impressive performers in the Bundesliga during his two at the Lower Saxony club and has been linked with a move to Schalke and various top clubs across Europe and may well feel the time is right to leave Wolfsburg.
The free scoring midfielder has netted 43 Bundesliga goals in the past five seasons and finished last season with the second most assists to follow on from the previous term when he topped the pile. The £12m rated former Bayern Munich man would be a coup of a signing if the Goodison Park boss can pull it off. He would also be the ideal replacement should the Toffees lose either Steven Pienaar or Mikel Arteta this summer although Moyes is believed to hope to secure funds for the transfer without having to sell any of his stars.
