Sir Alex Ferguson interested in bringing Inter Milan youngster to Old Trafford.
Manchester United are rumoured to be ready to make a move for Inter Milan’s under fire attacker Mario Balotelli this summer. The Italian Under 21 international has had his fair share of problems at the San Siro having had run ins with fans, coaching staff and his own players and the youngster seems certain to leave the Champions League winners and Ferguson is apparently ready to register his interest.
As Jose Mourinho makes plans for additions to his Bernabeu side a number of his former charges could be on their way to Real Madrid but one player not heading for Spain is Balotelli who does however seem likely to leave the Nerazzurri and would no doubt welcome a move to Old Trafford.
The £16m rated teenager has undoubted talent but has struggled to stake a place in the Inter Milan starting eleven and his questionable temperament has seen him have public bust ups with Marco Materazzi and Samuel Eto’o and he could well offer Ferguson valuable attacking options as an adaptable weapon going forward.
Manchester United could definitely do with fresh ideas up front that could help support Wayne Rooney’s lone efforts after Dimitar Berbatov’s continued laboured performances and Michael Owen’s long term injury concerns and Super Mario could well be an interesting signing and perhaps Sir Alex is just the type of boss to reign his fiery temper?
Ferguson is known to be an admirer of the promising Italian and reportedly attempted to sign him three years ago.
According to El Mundo Deportivo. The Spanish paper claims ‘Super Mario’ was on the verge of joining the Blaugrana three years ago, when he was playing for Serie C side Lumezzane in 2006. Back then a number of major European sides, including Manchester United and Barcelona, fought for his signature.(Goal.com)
