Paul McCartney is one of the most celebrated of British musicians, and with his former band the Beatles he made a staggering impression on worldwide audiences. Indeed, aside from their musical influence, the incredible phenomenon that was Beatlemania probably had a hand in the celebrity obsessed culture of today.

Still, music is what Beatles continue to do best, and Paul McCartney has recently been commissioned to write the music for a new ballet. Of course, he won’t be able to focus on that until he finishes his current concert schedule.

After the resounding success of his Isle Of Wight Festival appearance, Paul McCartney continues his live tour with appearances at Hampden Park in Glasgow, Cardiff Millennium Stadium and London Hyde Park as part of Hard Rock Calling Festival.

In Glasgow, his support acts will be the Loretto Pipe Band and Sharleen Spiteri, while in Cardiff it will be the Manic Street Preachers.

At Hard Rock Calling he will be joined by Crosby, Stills & Nash, Crowded House and Elvis Costello, and yet intriguingly Paul McCartney tickets are cheapest for this incredible lineup – available from £29.
