White Hart Lane boss interested in speedy wide man.
Tottenham have reportedly set their sights on Werder Bremen winger Marko Marin. The German international is currently on World Cup duty and has been earmarked as a potential Harry Redknapp target as the White Hart Lane boss looks to strengthen his Champions League bound squad.
The 21 year old Yugoslavian born youngster is apparently very happy at his Bundesliga club but may well be tempted by a move to the Premier League especially to a club such at Spurs who are very much on the up. Redknapp has been looking to bring in new players to help the north London club push on from their superb top four finish last term and the potential shown by the pint sized speedy winger has helped place Marin high up on the Spurs wish list.
The return to form of Welsh international Gareth Bale has helped resolve the long term left side problem and Luka Modric’s ability to also play in the position has helped give the side balance but that won’t stop the White Hart Lane boss considering a bid for the youngster who is considered one of the hottest prospects in the Bundesliga.
The £14m rated starlet helped Werder Bremen to a third place finish and finished the season with the third most assists and has come on as sub in both Germany’s World Cup group matches.
