Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly ready to make significant summer bids to capture Serie A based pair Simon Kjaer and Mario Balotelli. The Emirates manager is looking to bring in new additions to help mount a serious Premier League challenge and has earmarked moves for the young pair who he believes have the potential to become big stars at the north London club.

Whilst many are hoping that Wenger brings in established experienced names rather than the usual young talents he looks to scout and mould he could well feel that the Italian Under 21 international and Danish international have the right combination of potential and youth to be worth signing.

Both players have a solid grounding in Serie A football with Simon Kjaer enjoying two superb seasons at the heart of the Palermo defence but urgently apparently looking for a way out of the Sicilian side. Mario Balotelli is a troubled presence at the San Siro and almost certain to be offloaded by Rafa Benitez and no doubt looking to leave Italy all together after the myriad of problems he has had.

Both would be fantastic signings but wouldn’t come cheap but given that the Gunners have a fairly large transfer war chest to offer Arsene Wenger to play with.
