Real Madrid have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Benfica over the transfer of Argentina winger Angel di Maria.
His switch to the Bernabeu, on a six-year deal, is reported to be worth 25 million euros (£20.3m).
The 22-year-old is currently part of his country’s squad at the World Cup finals but was substituted in Sunday’s 3-1 win over Mexico.

So now the speculation about the Argentine winger perhaps going to Man City can be drawn to a close and it seems that Roberto Mancini has missed out on another big name signing. The 22 year old is currently on World Cup duty and his arrival at the Bernabeu will perhaps have a knock on effect as there are a great many top notch internationals wasting away at the La Liga side and Jose Mourinho will probably line up more signings as the new seasons draws ever nearer.
