June 24, 2010 - Bloemfontein, SOUTH AFRICA - epa02219474 A sticker forbidding the blowing of vuvuzelas is seen on a door of a mall in downtown Bloemfontein, South Africa, 24 June 2010.

Whilst they may be a part of South African culture that has made the World Cup unique viewing, at a festival they would inevitably be a distraction from the music, and so T In The Park have taken decisive steps to ensure there will be no such trouble.

T In The Park has elected to ban vuvuzelas. Ticket holders will not be allowed to bring the droning instrument to the festival, while vendors will also be prohibited from selling them.

It means that fans can watch the likes of Muse, Eminem, Kasabian, Vampire Weekend and Jay-Z without fearing an invasion of insects, and T In The Park tickets suddenly seem that little bit more of an attractive option. Weekend tickets are on sale from £200 through, while day tickets currently trade from a price of £90 from Viagogo.
