AC Milan are reportedly lining up a move for Tottenham midfielder Giovani dos Santos.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Milan are set to offer Klaas-Jan Huntelaar in a proposed swap deal for the Mexico international.

Giovani has been a fringe player for Tottenham and was loaned out to Galatasaray last season.

He was impressive at the World Cup for Mexico though, and has since said he wants to fight for a first-team place at Spurs.

Tottenham coach Harry Redknapp has said the former Barcelona man has to knuckle down if he is to have a future at White Hart Lane. (IMScouting)

It seems that Giovani dos Santos will have a hard time forcing his way into the Tottenham starting eleven and even after an impressive World Cup display his future may lie elsewhere as Harry Redknapp prepares for a Champions League campaign and a run at another top four finish. Therefore if indeed AC Milan were willing to offer Klaas-Jan Huntelaar as part of any potential swap deal then surely it would be a deal too good to be turned down?

The White Hart Lane futures of Robbie Keane and Roman Pavlyuchenko are by no means concrete and perhaps Redknapp would prefer bringing in the former Ajax and Real Madrid man as a viable attacking option. Even though the Dutch international has had a rocky couple of seasons he is still a very talented forward who could work well in the Premier League.
