Moroccan midfielder has been unable to make the breakthrough at White Hart Lane.
21 year-old Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Adel Taarabt is reportedly on the verge of joining Queens Park Rangers FC on a permanent deal. Having spent part of the 2008-2009 season, and the whole of the 2009-2010 campaign on loan at the west London club, the Moroccan is well familiar with QPR.
Having reduced their asking price from £4.5m to £3m, he is now within QPR’s budget, and manager Neil Warnock is believed to have made a renewed bid this morning.
In addition to his attacking midfield role, Taarabt can play on the wing or up front, and will offer QPR both versatility and guile. He scored 7 goals in 41 appearances for the side last season at just 20 years of age, including a sublime goal against Preston North End (the first in the video below).
Whether Harry Redknapp and Spurs will regret losing him remains to be seen.
