West Ham boss Avram Grant is considering lining up a move for Hapoel Tel Aviv playmaker Gil Vermuth as he looks to add more creativity to his Upton Park midfield. The recently appointed Hammers manager has already snapped up Thomas Hitzlsperger, Pablo Barrera and Frederic Piquionne whilst managing to avoid losing any of his prized assets.

The 24 year old pint sized Israeli international was in fine form last season as he helped his side to a domestic double as well as a good run in the Europa League. He is thought be valued at around £5m and would presumably welcome the chance of proving himself in the Premier League but a lot could depend on whether he helps his side into the group stages of the Champions League.

Likened by many as a similar type of player to Yossi Benayoun, Vemuth has also been linked with a move to Birmingham City who have also registered their interest in recent weeks.
