This is indeed a major coup for the Bluebirds and one that could well aid a promotion push. Bellamy no doubt had countless offers and the chance to play for his home town club appears to be to his liking. David Jones will be hoping that the Welsh international can show the kind of form he has over the past two seasons, during which time the former Newcastle and Liverpool striker has played some of his best football.
Cardiff have had a decent start to their campaign and will hope to have the 31 year old available in time for the home match against Doncaster on the weekend.
