Support Acts Revealed For Arcade Fire 2010 UK Tour Dates

The support acts for the forthcoming Arcade Fire UK tour will be Devendra Banhart and Vampire Weekend (at certain concerts).

Canadian collective Arcade Fire announced a UK tour last week to take place in December 2010, and tickets to all live performances has been selling incredibly fast. Having recently topped the UK Album Charts with third album The Suburbs, this ought to come as no surprise.

Now the band have revealed who the support act for the live dates will be – Devendra Banhart. The American singer-songwriter maintained a prolific output of his psychedelic folk throughout his career, and at the age of 29 has already released seven albums, eleven EPs and multiple collaborations. He is sure to draw on his extensive catalogue to put on a wonderful show.

Vampire Weekend will also open for the band on the recently announced Dublin O2 Arena dates – which go on sale on August 20th 2010 – but due to their own headline tour schedule will not be able to join Arcade Fire in London.

December 12th 2010 – Glasgow SECC & Clyde Auditorium
