Vincenzo Iaquinta’s agent claims Tottenham maintain an interest in the Italian striker.

Spurs have previously been linked with a move for the 30-year-old and his agent Andrea D’Amico claims that remains the case.

D’Amico says that a number of clubs are tracking the Juventus frontman.

“I don’t like to comment on rumours,” D’Amico told Itasport.

“I do know that Vincenzo is tracked by several clubs, including Tottenham, who have been interested in the player for a long time.” (Sky Sports)

You have to love the way Vincenzo Iaquinta’s agent states that he doesn’t like to comment on rumours…and then…comments on a rumour. It’s hard to see why Harry Redknapp would be that interested in the Juventus forward as he doesn’t appear to be any better than any of the four strikers he currently has to pick from.

The 30 year old is valued, probably a tad optimistically at around £12m and has been relatively consistent since his move to Juventus in June 2007 but is by no means prolific and is ever so slightly one dimensional but would probably suit the physical nature of the Premier League.

Add into the bargain the fact that the Turin club appear to be looking to reshape things at the club and it does seem plausible that Iaquinta would leave but not so sure it would be to move to the north London club.
