Tottenham are considering a move for Stuttgart’s Russian striker Pavel Pogrebnyak as Harry Redknapp looks to reshape his White Hart Lane attack. The 26 year old former Zenit player has been a big success in the Bundesliga but is now being linked with a move away from the club after the club’s boss, former Spurs manager Christian Gross, was sacked this week.

Stuttgart currently sit in an unaccustomed position at the bottom of the table which may well further tempt Pogrebnyak into leaving the club.

Redknapp has been disappointed with the performances from his strikers and has to deal with the absence through long term injury of top marksman Jermaine Defoe and may well therefore be looking to change things up front.

Both Robbie Keane and Roman Pavlyuchenko have been heavily linked with moves away from the club and with only one of the club’s Premier League goals coming from their striking quartet a move for a new goalscoring option would appear a distinct possibility.
