Tottenham will consider making a renewed bid for Anderlecht’s star teenage striker Romelu Lukaku after it emerged they had an £17.5m bid rejected in the summer.
The 17-year-old Belgium international is also wanted by Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid.

Tottenham are also keen on Ipswich’s young striker Connor Wickham and sent chief scout Ian Broomfield to watch Hapoel Tel Aviv striker Itay Shechter against Olympique Lyon in the Champions League at the end of last month. The 23-year-old scored 25 goals in Hapoel’s Double-winning season last term. (Daily Mail)

Harry Redknapp has been linked with a myriad of striking targets and the rumour on the grapevine appears to be that Robbie Keane and perhaps even Roman Pavlyuchenko may be on their way out at White Hart Lane and that would open the door to new attacking options hence this latest trio of strikers.

It had appeared that Romelu Lukaku was set to complete a deal with Arsenal but as yet that has not been agreed and Tottenham are ready to pounce. Connor Wickham has been on Redknapp’s wish-list for some time and Ipswich Town boss Roy Keane has hinted that the youngster is on his way out of Portman Road.

Itay Shechter has been in fine form in Israel of late but a jump to the upper echelons of the Premier League would be quite a jump to make.
