Everton scouts have been keeping a keen eye on Belgian and Racing Genk striker Jelle Vossen. The 21 year old is currently on loan at Cercle Brugge and has already made five appearances for his country at full international level.

Vossen is a natural finisher and Everton would find the young international a good asset to have alongside some of Goodison’s ageing strikers. A value of £4m-£6m seems expensive but should be enough to prise the player away to the Premiership.

Whilst Everton have not really been lacking in goals over the years, Moyes realises that buying younger players these days is in fashion and a 21 year old international added to the Toffee’s ranks would be anything but counter productive.

With Everton netting twice against Liverpool on Sunday in the Merseyside Derby, the signing of Vossen, either in January or the summer will be a good bit of business and add depth to the squad. (FootyLatest)

Despite their victory and two goals against Liverpool at the weekend, Everton are still in the market for a new striker, and Jelle Vossen could be the man for the job. Everton scouts have got it right before in terms of Belgian talent, when spotting and encouraging a move for a certain Marouane Fellaini.

After an unconvincing start to the season, David Moyes is almost certain to make moves in the transfer market this January, and it will be interesting to see where else he decides to strengthen his squad other than in the striking position.
