Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is lining up a move to bring Dutch International pair Ibrahim Afellay and Leroy Fer to Old Trafford. The Old Trafford manager has been monitoring the pair for a few months and is apparently ready to push on with moves to sign both.
Ibrahim Afellay is out of contract at table topping PSV Eindhoven in the summer and his club may look to cash in on the 24 year old attack minded midfielder. The Utrecht born flair player has been in outstanding form this season for both club and country and has been targeted by many of Europe’s elite looking to bring in the bargain signing.
However Afellay has stated that a dream move would be to Old Trafford which would clearly hold Ferguson in good stead when it comes to making an offer. Leroy Fer is a young up and coming defensive midfielder who has shown real potential. The 21 year old is in his third season as a regular at the Rotterdam club and won his first international cap against the Ukraine in August.
Fer is a well built tough tackler who also has an eye for goal and seems more likely to leave Feyenoord given their horrendous form in the Eredivisie this season. The pair could be snapped up for around £12m.
