Sir Alex Ferguson will reportedly make a summer move for Tottenham’s in form wide man Gareth Bale and is willing to offer a variety of players in part exchange for the Welsh international. The Manchester United boss will offer the likes of Michael Carrick, Anderson, Michael Owen and Ji-Sung Park to help sweeten any deal to bring the former Southampton man to Old Trafford.
Ferguson has a close relationship with Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp and will only approach the 21 year old if the player himself makes it clear he wishes to pursue a move away from White Hart Lane, a possibility that would substantially increase if the north London club does not manage to repeat last season’s top four heroics.
The talented left sided player has been targeted by the likes of Inter Milan and Manchester City in recent weeks and his form over the past year has led many to believe he is one of the best players in his position across the whole of Europe.
The £25m rated Cardiff born youngster may find it hard to not be tempted by interest from sides who may be better placed to help him secure major silverware and Man United have placed Gareth Bale high up on their wish-list as they look to build up a new generation of talent. Ferguson has been promised significant funds to improve his squad and any offer to Redknapp would involve a large cash sum as well as the inclusion of any makeweights.
