Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly moving ever nearer finally signing long term target Eden Hazard. The Lille starlet, dubbed the “Belgian Ronaldo”, has been linked with a move to the Emirates for the best part of two years and now it appears that the youngster is set to leave his Ligue 1 side perhaps as early as January.
The 19 year old attacking midfielder has been linked with moves to Liverpool and Man United in recent weeks and the signs are pointing to Hazard’s French club looking to cash in on a player they realise has outgrown the club.
After securing a top four finish last term Lille has struggled to replicate that success this season and have managed just three wins in their first 11 games and this has left Hazard considering his options. It is thought that a fee in the region of £12m would be needed to meet the valuation on a player with a great deal of potential.
The teenager has been a regular for the past two and a bit seasons and has impressed many with his mature displays both in the domestic and continental football. He is also now a regular in the Belgian national team.
