Arsenal have finally confirmed that they will complete the signing of Japanese wonderkid Ryo Miyaichi in December 2010.

The 17 year-old will move to England as soon as he is granted a work permit, which Arsenal hope to secure sooner rather than later on the basis of the player being of exceptional talent.

Should this not be the case, the Gunners will most likely send him out on loan to Salamanca, a club with which they have established a regular loaning relationship.

Upon the signing of Miyaichi, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said, “For us, it’s very important that Asia is represented at our club.

“The problem we have in England at the moment is that we have difficulties to bring in the non-EU players. Before they are internationals so it makes the work for the young players very difficult but we will try to bring him in here.”Miyaichi is currently recovering from a broken leg, but is set to return to full training in January.

For those that can’t wait until then, here is a video of the player in action.
