Hi Everyone, hope all is well and the snow isn’t causing too many problems if you have any!? I do know that this weekend’s football must have kept you warm regardless of the outside temperature. Where Do I start?

I think I’ll start with Berbatov’s 5 goal master class in United’s 7-1 rampage at the Theatre Of Dreams… Truly Impressive and a great way arrive at the top of the table having sat behind Chelsea all season to date. My team mates at Portsmouth had a well fought victory at Swansea on friday night, a place where not many teams will go this season and come away with much in the way of points. West Bromwich Albion seem to have found a nice blend of playing good football and winning games also… Maybe Roberto Di Matteo is the key ingredient for them to establish themselves in the premiership and break the yo yo pattern they have had in recent years.

And Finally on the football front there’s one game I sat and watched on Monday night and would probably say was one of the best individual team performances I’ve seen in years. I’m sure you saw ‘El Clasico’ and if you didn’t then you will have heard about Barcelona thrashing Real Madrid 5-0 at the Nou Camp in front of 97000 fans. It wasn’t just the result but the manner in which they took Real Madrid apart was more than a joy to watch. With barely a player above 6ft, they showed Madrid the ‘real’ way to play football and that size on the football field really doesn’t matter when you pass and move with such poise and purpose.

Personally I’m delighted with the rehabilitation after my injury back in March and will be back in full swing in the new year… I think injuries in football are a test of character and mental strength but you also have to make sure you are surrounded by the right people who have a positive mentality. The Physio’s at Portsmouth Steve Allen and Wayne Gill have been a blessing to have and it’s been appreciated the time and effort they’ve put in to match the hard work I’ve had to sustain.

Thanks for reading and Stay Positive.
One Love!
