Pep Guardiola’s agent Jose Maria Orobitg has sought to play down rumours linking the Barcelona boss with a move away from Camp Nou.

The highly-rated Barca boss – who is out of contract in June – is being linked with top sides Inter Milan, Chelsea and Manchester United.

He told calciomercato.it: “At this moment there is nothing with another club.

“I have not had any direct contact with Inter, only questions by other agents, but we are not currently contemplating a departure.

“Guardiola’s contract is expiring in June, it is too early to begin negotiations for the renewal, but Pep has always preferred to renew from year to year.

“Then in football you never know. Chelsea and Manchester United? No, I have not had any contact with them.”

Its no real surprise, is it? Guardiola is currently in charge of the most magnificent football side on the planet and while Chelsea are no slouches themselves they just cannot compete with the style, glamour and heritage on offer at Camp Nou. If Barcelona no longer wanted him then there is every chance he would choose to have a go with Roman’s roubles but for now there is nowhere any coach would rather be than in Catalonia.
