Wayne Bridge may join West Ham’s relegation fight next month on loan.
Manchester City’s former Chelsea left back is keen to return to London and, though he would rather not be involved in a survival battle, he may be forced to join the Hammers to secure first-team football after being marginalised since the arrival of Aleksandar Kolarov.

City would rather sell Bridge, 30, in order to off-load his £90,000-a-week wages but are willing to consider a loan move, which would see them cover some of his salary.
Blackburn are also interested in taking the former England defender. West Ham had to play centre half Danny Gabbidon at left back on Sunday. (Daily Mail)

This could be a good move for all parties. Wayne Bridge has struggled with injury in recent months and appears to have his work out to get himself back into Roberto Mancini’s reckoning and therefore a spell at West Ham could help get the England man up to speed and could well force the Man City boss to consider the 30 year old as a player with an Eastlands future.

Avram Grant will need all the help he can get as he looks to pull his Hammers side out from the drop zone.
