Juventus are prepared to offer a £20million package to sign Stoke City defender Ryan Shawcross, according to reports from SKY Italy.
Shawcross is out of contract in June 2014 and is also wanted by Wolfsburg, Liverpool and Manchester United.
Juventus, according to the Italian station, are offering a player-plus-cash deal, whereas they report United are prepared to do a straight £17million deal. (TalkSPORT)

Not sure if this sounds too plausible. Whilst there is no doubt that Ryan Shawcross is a talented and determined defender it seems a tad unlikely that an Italian club would fork out such a fee for a player who is still uncapped and Tony Pulis will probably fight off any bids for the former Man United youth team player.

Stoke City’s success is strongly based on a their back line and it is fair to say that the 23 year old Chester born centre back is a big reason for that success and is therefore unlikely to be sold off unless the player himself pushes for an exit.

It is worth noting also that new Juventus boss Luigi Delneri has had a good start to the new season and their centre back pairing of Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci are doing very well indeed and given their respective ages, of 26 and 23, they are unlikely to need replacements any time soon.
