Manchester United are reportedly interested in highly rated Borussia Dortmund playmaker Shinji Kagawa. Sir Alex Ferguson has apparently received glowing reports about the Japanese international’s exploits with the runaway Bundesliga leaders and may now be interested in making a move for the 21 year old.

The former Cerezo Osaka youngster arrived at Dortmund in the summer after a successful J League season the previous season and Kagawa has been an instant hit in Germany where he has scored ten goals in all competitions and helped Jurgen Klopp’s side to a seemingly unassailable ten point lead at the top of the table.

The pint sized attacking midfielder is an adaptable player who could very well be interested in a move to the Premier League and Ferguson is said to be monitoring the starlet’s progress and may well make a move for the Kobe born star.

The Old Trafford boss has been keen to look for up and coming stars to help build a new generation of Man United talent to go alongside the players who have successfully been produced by the club’s own academy, this was evident in the summer purchases of Chris Smalling and Javier Hernandez.
