Tottenham, Bayern Munich and Juventus are interested in acquiring the services of Liverpool defender Glen Johnson, according to the Daily Express.

The former Portsmouth right-back did not take criticism from Roy Hodgson well after the Reds boss questioned his performances, and reacted by calling the former Fulham manager’s style of football “boring”.

The Reds have since been reported to be pursuing Rennes full-back Rod Fanni as a replacement. (Goal.com)

Harry Redknapp is clearly aware of Glen Johnson’s abilities as he was West Ham boss when the England international was a trainee as the club and rescued the right back from Chelsea and brought him to Portsmouth, and the Tottenham boss is always a fan of January purchase and even though the north London club appears to have more than enough full back options he is apparently lining up a move for the Liverpool man.

Roy Hodgson appears happy to offload the former Chelsea man and will reportedly accept less than the £18m that Rafa Benitez spent on his services after Johnson apparently didn’t take criticism from the Anfield boss and now a move seems on the cards as a number of full back replacements are now being linked with a move to Merseyside.

Tottenham have of course had a number of problems with their central defensive injury woes but do they really need another full back at White Hart Lane?
