Another day of rumours and one of the clubs linked the most with various players is Tottenham Hotspur, maybe it is more to do with manager Harry Redknapp and his love for wheeler dealing as opposed to reality.

The first player linked with Tottenham is teenage Dutch striker Luc Castaignos, who is rated at £4m by Feyenoord according to Talksport.

The second player to have apparently caught the eye of White Hart Lane supremo Redknapp is Schalke’s Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic as speculated by Sport.co.uk

Finally we have Paris Saint Germain’s Benin international midfielder Stephane Sessegnon though Tottenham are said to face competition from Arsenal, Liverpool, West Ham and Everton, again this one is from Sport.co.uk

That Redknapp will almost certainly buy this January is a given and with the likes of Robbie Keane and David Bentley almost certain to be sold it does make common sense to have Spurs linked with a variety of players. (Footylatest.com)

We all know how much Harry Redknapp likes to delve into the transfer window lucky dip basket and it will be interesting to see who he captures and who he looks to offload as the north London club looks to go from strength to strength after a hugely impressive last 18 months.

The Tottenham boss does seem keen on some more creative midfield options even though he does appear to have a plethora of talented playmakers at his disposal. The likes of goalscoring midfielders Ivan Rakitic and Luc Castaignos have shown great potential at Schalke and Feyenoord respectively and are both young enough to make a move very enticing. However 26 year old Stephane Sessegnon may well be the pick of this trio.

The PSG star has had two strong seasons in Ligue 1 and has also been strongly linked with interest from the likes of Fulham and Everton.

Two players who do seem likely to leave the club are Robbie Keane and David Bentley, two players who would do well to move on rather than wasting any more of their careers warming the Tottenham bench. Aston Villa and Celtic lead the chase of the Irish veteran and Blackburn are said to be interested in their former charge Bentley.
