Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle looks to have beaten off interest from Newcastle United to sign Swansea City midfielder Darren Pratley.

The Englishman signed for Swansea in 2006. This season  he has helped the club into the play-off positions and scored nine goals in 31 games.

25-year-old Pratley was subject to interest from both Premier League clubs in January, but the Welsh club resisted all deals in their bid for promotion.

But the former Fulham trainee is out of contract in the Summer and the Swans are resigned to losing him.
