Aston Villa manager wants to end his public feud with Blackpool counter-part Ian Holloway ahead of tomorrow’s Barclays Premier League meeting at Bloomfield Road.
The two managers exchanged verbal blows last month after Houllier had two bids rejected for Blackpool captain Charlie Adam.
Holloway laughed of the bids as derisory and was upset the interest became public news while Houllier insisted the club did everything through the proper channels.
Houllier has now predicted the Seasiders will stay up this season despite his plotting to beat them tomorrow.
Houllier said: “Blackpool are the most attacking and offensive team I’ve seen and the manager is doing a good job there.
“He probably assessed his best chances of staying up and thought having a go with no regrets was best, which is good.
“That’s why they found themselves in a high position at one stage and I’d be surprised if they go down.
“They knew right from the start that they were always in a position to be threatened with going down so they will adapt to that.”
