Today’s rumours are resplendent with much talk of big name signings that may or may not come to fruition, but that doesn’t make these rumours any less tasty and thoroughly consumable. Arsenal will once again face a fight to keep Cesc Fabregas, this comes hot on the heels of speculation that the likes of Andrei Arshavin, Manuel Almunia, Denilson and Nicklas Bendtner are all on their way out, so it looks like being a busy old time at the Emirates this summer.

Chelsea are chasing Real Madrid superstar Kaka who at 28 is a spring chicken compared to the older legion of Stamford Bridge stars who may be heading for a Stamford Bridge exit. Remember previous speculation stated that Florent Malouda, Nicolas Anelka and Didier Drogba. Would Jose Mourinho really sell the Brazilian for just £25m?

Manchester United are facing a battle to keep Javier Hernandez from Jose Mourinho’s grasp as the Bernanbeu boss looks to bring in the young Mexican who is still very playing third fiddle to Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov at Old Trafford.

Sir Alex Ferguson is looking to nab Newcastle United left back Jose Enrique, possibly as a Patrice Evra replacement. Alan Pardew, having already lost Andy Carroll in January will fight off interest in the Spaniard as well as Cheik Tiote who is also apparently wanted by the Premier League table toppers.

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp, always one for a good transfer story, wants to beef up his central midfield options and is going to make a move for tough tackling Sunderland man Lee Cattermole. The White Hart Lane boss has the likes of Wilson Palacios, Sandro, Tom Huddlestone and Jermaine Jenas at present but perhaps the England hopeful will add the bite he is looking for.

Liverpool continue to look for up and coming talents to populate their squad with moves to sign Christian Eriksen, who looked very good for Denmark against England the other night, and Ivory Coast striker Gervinho. There is also speculation that the club will look to offload a few of their squad players in the summer with Emiliano Insua, Paul Konchesky, Philippe Degen and Alberto Aquilani all set to be sold.
