Mumford and Sons have received an impressive boost from their nominations at the Grammy Awards.
Mumford and Sons were nominated in two categories at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night.
They didn’t win in either – losing out in the Best New Artist category to Esperanza Spalding, and Best Rock Song to Neil Young.
Still, they can be heartened by their success since, as their live performance with Bob Dylan on the night went down an absolute treat with viewers.
Having sold 25,000 copies of their album Sigh No More in total in the week prior to the Grammys, Mumford and Sons have since seen sales rocket.
They beat that in just one day, with their 31,ooo sales on the Sunday night of the ceremony seeing them soar to the top of the iTunes chart in the USA.
Mumford and Sons are nominated for British Breakthrough Act, British Group and Mastercard British Album Of The Year at tonight’s BRIT Awards.
They will hope to beat their Grammy Awards total.
Mumford and Sons tickets are on sale now for their NME Awards show gig at Dingwalls, as well as their slot as support act for Arcade Fire in Hyde Park.
