David Moyes is planning an audacious move for Liverpool youngster Nathan Eccelstone, who is currently on loan at League One side Charlton Athletic. The Goodison Park boss is keen to boost his attacking options but may struggle to convince Messrs Dalglish and Comolli to sell the highly rated youngster. The Toffees boss already has a few strikers to call upon in the shape of Louis Saha, Jermaine Beckford, Victor Anichebe, Jose Baxter and Yakubu, who is on loan at Leicester City.

Liverpool are chasing Barcelona attacker Ibrahim Afellay who is struggling to make an impact at the Catalan club. The Anfield side are looking to add more creativity to their squad and also want to add more natural wide options having failed to see the likes of Dirk Kuyt, Milan Jovanovic, Joe Cole and Maxi make an impact. Having signed Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez last month, the club’s owners are looking to bring in more additions in the summer.

Arsenal are chasing Ajax pair Maarten Stekelenburg and Jan Vertonghen and a number of Arsene Wenger’s squad are also being courted by overseas bidders. The following stars have been linked with the following clubs. Robin Van Persie (Inter Milan), Andrei Arshavin (Inter Milan & Zenit), Nicklas Bendtner (Juventus & AC Milan), Denilson (Wolfsburg) and Carlos Vela (Valencia).

Newcastle United are facing a tough battle to keep hold of Jose Enrique who is now reportedly being chased by Manchester United, AC Milan and Liverpool. Alan Pardew does however plan to make moves for Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge, Tottenham playmaker Niko Kranjcar and West Ham defender James Tomkins. The Magpies midfielder Joey Barton however wants assurances the club will invest in the squad before he commits and Jonas Gutierrez is being pursued by a couple of La Liga sides.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is eyeing up a move for French international Moussa Sissoko as he looks to boost the Old Trafford midfield. The box to box player is seen as the ideal man to give the side some extra steel as it seems that Owen Hargreaves is no nearer to getting fit. Paul Scholes is of course getting on in years and has never been a great tackler and the likes of Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher and Anderson are more offensive players and the Scot is looking for more bite from his table topping side. United are also continuing to be linked with a move for Everton man Jack Rodwell.

Manchester City winger David Silva is homesick and may be heading back to Spain whilst Roque Santa Cruz wants to stay at Blackburn Rovers but they may not be willing to pay the asking price. Roberto Mancini is also facing a battle to keep Mario Balotelli who is, like many others, linked with a move to AC Milan.

Tottenham are closing in on ‘New Wayne Rooney’ Connor Wickham as Harry Redknapp looks to boost his attacking line-up. Clearly the 17 year old is one for the future but the White Hart Lane boss is also considering offloading Robbie Keane and Roman Pavlyuchenko to West Ham and Sunderland respectively.
