Lyon goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has crushed any rumours linking him with replacing Edwin Van Der Sar at Manchester United.

The 24-year-old said last week it would be his dream to move to Old Trafford but has now re-affirmed his commitment to the Ligue 1 club.

Lloris was said to be on Sir Alex Ferguson’s shortlist to replace the veteran Dutchman along with Germany’s Manuel Neuer, Holland’s Maarten Stekelenburg and Russia’s Igor Akinfeev.

But Lloris, who is under contract with Lyon until June 2012, has said he is fully focused on helping Lyon defeat real Madrid in the Champions League.

“I am fully committed to the OL. After these announcements, the rumours, I have no problem with that,” Lloris told L’Equipe.

“It’s flattering, yes. But that does not mean I’m going to stop working and function as I always have.”
